Last Train to Clarksville

Changes taking place…

First things first…before we go any further, let me introduce myself!

My name is Thea and before you try saying it let me help you, it is pronounced Tia. I get The-ah, Tay-ah among other mispronounciations of my name. My last name recently changed back to my maiden name, Long. I was Thea Agnew for 20+ years.

I am from Ft. Rucker, Alabama. I have 3 beautiful teenagers ages 17, 18 and 19! They are all involved in sports and that is basically what we watch on T.V. No time for soaps. I have enough drama than to watch someone elses

I am the blogger and designer of this site. I am also the author/blogger/owner of Diaries of a Fruitcake in a half baked world. I am also a retired Realtor with over 6 years of experience. I currently am an Assistant to Loan Officer/Branch Manager, Amanda Dusenberry, at VA Mortgage Center Clarksville.

♥ My Passion is for our Military Men and Women and their families. Our Military are putting their life on the line this very second! My heart goes out to the spouses, girlfriends/boyfriends and parents of our Soldiers. I’ve lived the Military style my whole life. I was born, raised and married into the Military. I’ve lived in Korea, Germany and in the states of Hawaii, Texas, Alabama, Virginia, Kentucky and of course, Tennessee. I love to travel to new places.

♥ I am a singer. I love singing the National Anthem… It’s such an honor for me. I opened for the Nashville Preditors Season 2007-2008 and traveled to Atlanta to sing for Nascar’s Qualification night on October 24, 2008. I am the current 2009 Operation Rising Star for Ft. Campbell, KY and was in the top 6 of the National Competition in Virginia. Currently, I am singing for songwriters to get their songs on demo.

♥ I am an author. I do love to write. I do mostly devotional writing that makes you think. I plan on having a book out in the next 5 years. That is one of my goals. I would also love to interview and write, if I could find the time. Until then, I am writing for my blogs, Last Train to Clarksville and Diaries of a Fruitcake.

Here are some things about me in a nutshell:

• I’ve always wanted to ride in a Blackhawk helicopter.
• I love to walk.
• I love me some cornbread and buttermilk. (It has to be a southern thang.)
• I am looking into taking flying lessons.
• My weakness is heels and purses.
• I love people who are positive. Negativity just brings everybody down.
• I’m an early morning coffee gal. Favorite coffee at Lasater’s is Snickerdoodle (not on the menu but made up by one of their very own employees) and Caramel Mocha Latte Grande from Starbucks. It’s so quiet and peaceful in the early hours. My mind is alert and clear (probably from the caffeine buzz!).
• My weirdest mixture of food would have to be marshmallows in chili! That is what pregnancy does to you!!
• I love reading
• I enjoy meeting new people and sharing life experiences over coffee.

Being recently divorced, I am learning much more about what I like, so this page might change every once in a while.
