Blogging on the Agnew Express

2010…With our clients to the end

…Team Agnew.

First things first…before we go any further, let me introduce myself! My name is Thea and before you try saying it let me help you, it is pronounced Tia. I get The-ah, Tay-ah among other tries at my name.  It’s great when I have tele-marketers calling because that person doesn’t live here! :)   Now if you call and say Tay-ah I am looking for a home or I want to sell my home, I will not have one problem!  Ha-ha. Thea is my name, it isn’t short for anything.  It actually means Goddess in Greek! :) Gotta throw that out there!

I am from Ft. Rucker, Alabama. That’s where I met my husband, 3 am on my Junior Prom night at a gas station! We renewed our wedding vows after 15 years of marriage on Good Morning America and won a 10 Caribbean Cruise!  We have 3 beautiful teenagers ages 15, 16 and 18! They are all involved in sports and that is basically what we watch on T.V. No more time for soaps. I have enough drama than to watch someone elses.

♥ My Passion is for our Military Men and Women and their families.  Our Military are putting their life on the line this very second! My heart goes out to the spouses, girlfriends and parents of our Soldiers. I’ve been living the Military life for 39 years. I was born, raised and married into the Military. It’s the only lifestyle I have known and I’m proud to be a part of. I’ve lived in Korea, Germany and in the states from Texas to Virginia.  I love to travel to new places.  I also love to decorate those new places we call our home.  That has all stopped though at this duty station. We have retired here in Clarksville after 23 years of service January 2010!

♥ I am a singer. I love singing the National Anthem…  It’s such an honor for me. I opened for the Nashville Preditors Season 2007-2008 and traveled to Atlanta to sing for Nascar’s Qualification night on October 24, 2008. I am the current 2009 Operation Rising Star for Ft. Campbell, KY and was in the top 6 of the National Competition in Virginia.

♥ I am an Author. I do love to write. I am taking a class now on writing and plan on having a book out in the next 5 years. That is my goal. I would also love to interview and write, if I could find the time. Until then, I am writing for my blogs, Last Train to Clarksville and Diaries of a Fruitcake.

Here are some crazy things about me in a nutshell:

  • I’ve always wanted to ride in a helicopter.
  • I am an exercise freak.  I love to walk.
  • I love eating cornbread and buttermilk. It has to be a southern thang.
  • My weakness is shoes and purses.
  • I love people who are positive.  Negativity just brings everybody down.
  • I’m an early morning coffee gal.  It’s so quiet and peaceful in the early hours.  My mind is alert and clear (probably from the caffeine buzz!).
  • My weirdest mixture of food has to have been marshmallows in chili!  That is what pregnancy does to you!!
  • I’m also a member of the Chamber of Commerce since 2007.

Whew…take a deep breath. Now let me introduce you to my better half, Mr. Art Agnew!

My name is Art, pronounced…..Art! I joined Thea in my Real Estate career earlier 2009.  I’m from Plainfield, Indiana and joined the military in 1986.  I was the last group to go through Basic Training at Ft. Campbell, KY.   I was active duty for over 23+ years and retired January this year.  Clarksville is where my family and I have settled.  My hobbies include Nascar, Football, Basketball and Baseball. Like Thea said, we are a family that is very active and are always going to games or events when we find the time. We recently went to Nascar Camping World 400 in Kansas City where I rode in the Pace Car for the honoring lap of our Soldiers being honored. Awesome experience.

  • I am task orientated and if you let me know what you want for the end result, I will get it done to your desired outcome.
  • I like the outdoors and enjoy taking care of our property so my family is comfortable and can enjoy the things we have been blessed with to provide.
  • I like to grill and have family and friends come over to eat and visit
  • I am the youngest of 4 brothers
  • I was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee but lived there for only a couple of years.
  • I have a son that looks just like me and two beautiful daughters.
  • I love my wife and look forward to my retirement where we can be together more often.
