Go Eagles! Three Way Tie For 1st Place

Well, I am partial to Northeast’s Eagles.  First of all, I have a son that is starting Quarterback for JV and second, I graduated from NEHS.  Monday night we were visitors to The Knights, Kenwood High.

Northeast JV 30- Kenwood JV 6

Northeast wrapped up their regular season with a 30-6 win against Kenwood in a JV football game Monday night.

The Eagles finished with a 5-1 record and will play for the middle school championship against Rossview JV, after the coin toss broke the 3 way tie. Nick Agnew, my son, threw for a pair of touchdowns. He hit John Quinn for a 52-yard scoring toss in the first quarter and found Alex Poythress on a 36-yard touchdown pass in the second period.

Poythress, Quinn and C.J. Board combined to catch for 170 yards as Northeast held a 16-0 halftime advantage.

Jarrin Miller’s 45-yard run in the third quarter extended that lead and Duval Davis added a 42-yard scoring run. Davis and Miller combined for 250 rushing yards.

Northeast’s Anthony Bass had a fourth-quarter interception while Xavier Mitchell led the way in tackles. Go Mitchell!

Monday Night he will be playing as #9. It is to be a GREAT game.  Hope everyone can come out. Location will be at Rossview High, off of Exit 8, at 6 pm. Cover is between $3-$5.
